Early Winter Weather Doesn’t Delay Great Lakes Sensor Installations

IrondequoitBayBolton, MA – WeatherFlow sensor technicians battled early season snow and cold but were able to install two weather stations on the Great Lakes. The weather station in Rochester, NY was relocated and installed at the mouth of Irondequoit Bay near Durand Beach on Lake Ontario, unarguably improving the siting over the former location. Meanwhile, a completely new weather station was installed in Harrison Township, MI at the Lake St. Clair Metropark on Lake St. Clair.

This new weather station on Lake St. Clair will help contribute data to studies such as the one conducted by Wayne State University and the Clinton-Huron Metroparks System, who hosts this station, to understand how runoff from rainfall and snow melt impacts water quality in the nearby marshes.

The data from these weather stations will also be available via WeatherFlow’s consumer products. LakeStClairMetropark2
