Oaklin Keefe

Oaklin Keefe joined the WeatherFlow team in March of 2021. This Massachusetts native grew up sailing Opti’s and 420’s out of Connecticut in the Long Island/Fisher’s Island Sound and went on to became a certified US Sailing Instructor (Levels I, II, and III). Oaklin has now coached youth sailing for over six years and is also open water SCUBA certified.

As a student at the University of Miami, Florida, Oaklin continued sailing at the collegiate level as a member of the university team, racing 420’s and FJ’s. While in their first semester at the university, Hurricane Irma struck Florida. The experience only served to fuel an already budding interest for meteorology and Oaklin went on to earn a B.S. in Marine and Atmospheric Science with majors in both marine science and meteorology in December of 2020. They are now attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (MIT-WHOI) Joint Program to earn a PhD in physical oceanography.

When not forecasting, studying, or sailing, Oaklin also enjoys skateboarding, hiking, reading, and playing guitar.
