Zoe Najim joined WeatherFlow in the spring of 2017. Her interest for meteorology came as a result of her passion for wind and water sports. Zoe was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec and, together with her father, she spent much of her youth racing sailboats on Lac Saint Louie and Lake Champlain.

Zoe studied at State University of New York in Plattsburgh and received a M.S. in Education. It was around this time that she developed another passion … windsurfing. Soon she became an internationally-known windsurfer and traveled to many of the renowned windsurfing locales around the globe. She also spent time as a science journalist and wanted to understand the dynamics behind wind. This led her to study meteorology at Mississippi State University, focusing especially on West Coast fog and thermal wind patterns.

When off the clock, Zoe and her family can regularly be spotted windsurfing in the San Francisco Bay area, at Sherman Island, or in the Columbia River Gorge.
